Double bubble uses tiny red LEDs, called a bubble display, that was popular on calculators made in the early 1980's.  It would be too tiny to read, so a lucite hemisphere magnifies it.  Its body is made of Ipe wood from the old Coney Island boardwalk.
The clock can sit on a shelf or be wall hung.  Time is set by a knob on the side.
