Ingredients for my pieces come from the sprawling debris piles of New Orleans. This post-consumer, post-industrial, post-katrina junk is saved from burial in a landfill and given a second chance.
What fun to liberate this trash from its constraints of gray metal or plastic fake-wood-grained veneer. The scrap's new function as a lamp is pure McGuffin; it's all about the beauty.
Beauty is the product of a form fulfilling it's function.
